The journey continues with Spring 2018 tryouts for AAU basketball. They set 60% of their roster in November, so he is late trying out. The Spring season starts in just a couple of weeks. There are over 45 boys trying out for 9th grade and limited spots are available on the roster. Keep scrolling down for more clips.
The journey continues...Ryan continues to push on with his individual training on his own, going to weekly training at his AAU Team Club, and he also plays in both the Spring and Summer AAU Seasons. He shows a lot of growth and has found himself an incredible basketball home that believes in player development.

The journey continues...Ryan was doing strength & conditioning at his high school preparing for tryouts. Two days before his school tryout, he attended tryouts for the Spring AAU season. Ryan received an early signing for his club's AAU 10th grade Exposure team. Ryan also made his high school basketball team for his Sophomore year. Way to go Ryan! Whoo-Hoo! May 2019 - 17 years old and what a milestone -- it has been 40 months since Ryan first picked up a basketball and he has managed to do the Impossible. He has overcome a major disability and developed the skill needed to play competitive basketball through determination and hard work. Ryan received personal invitations to attend some college Elite Basketball Camps. He has been very blessed. Keep scrolling down to watch the amazing progress Ryan has made on his journey!

The journey continues with Ryan's first Elite Basketball Camp at Belmont Abbey College.
He has come such a long way in just under 40 months! It is simply amazing what this young man has managed to accomplish! He remains both humble and committed to continuing to improve his game, with the goal of playing collegiate basketball at a small D2/D3 school. Hopefully his dream will come true. Check out this great video from Newberry College's Elite Basketball Camp. Ryan had a very rewarding camp experience at Newberry. Definitely a highlight on Ryan's journey! The coaches and Newberry players were supportive and helpful. He has two more years to become the basketball player he is going to be for college - he will continue on, putting in that hard work - One Bounce at a Time! Yes sir!
